Week 42 – Stuff I Saw

17 Nov

A work in progress, at the VFW museum. Veterans Day.

This little sucker has stayed alive since the early spring. All his brothers and sisters bit the dust months ago. Keep on keepin’ on, little guy.

Checkin’ my mail, yo.

Yellow leaves on the sidewalk, beside a rock wall. It’s fall.

Animals. (I think this is Week 33.)

Pony

I don’t know if this is a horse or a pony. He just made a lot of racket when I stopped near his gate.

Butterfly

This butterfly was nearing the end of his life when I met him.

TurtlesAndPigs

Red & blue turtles & pigs.

Old House

There is a second tree to the right, with a “No Trespassing” sign posted. I heard a truck coming over the hill and hurried back to my own. I didn’t want to be caught somewhere I shouldn’t be, even though I was cool with ignoring the sign. What’s integrity mean, again?

Semana Veinticinco, Week Twenty-five

The 7 from the left are the children of the (almost last) two on right. The very last grave on the right is another infant, who was not the son of this couple.

Sorrow.

I spent a rainy afternoon Find-A-Grave-ing, and crying. These pictures were before the rain, but during the tears. Oh, what sorrow. This poor family.
